Operations, fully owned

You build the company. I build the operation.

A fractional COO for founders. I install the systems, accountability, and culture your company runs on, so the business stops depending on you being in the middle of everything.

The approach

When you are the bottleneck, the business can only grow as fast as you can.

I take the operation off your plate and turn it into something that runs without you.

01

Out of your head, into a system

If it only works because you remember it, it does not work yet. I move the operation into systems anyone can follow.

02

Accountability with humanity

Clear ownership and real follow-through, without burning the team down to get it. Culture is part of the operation, not a reward for it.

03

Outcomes, not hours

You buy a result and the reliability behind it, on a flat monthly retainer. Not a timesheet, not a body in a seat.

Why founders work with me

Designed for reliability, performance, and a smoother operation.

Systems First

Documented processes the team can follow without you in the loop.

Accountability Built-in

Clear owners, real follow-through, metrics that mean something.

Built for Velocity

Fast decisions and unblocked delivery across every function.

Culture That Holds

A team that stays motivated — burned-out teams ship nothing.

An operation you can trust

Reliability you can verify.

Operating standards plus real accountability, so you can grow with greater confidence.

Senior Operator

A real operating partner running the day-to-day with you, not a checklist.

Documented & Owned

Everything I build is documented, owned by your team, and survives me.

Bilingual EN / ES

Fluent across US founders and LatAm teams — no translation gap.

What I take off your plate

Built for the next stage of your company.

A modern operating layer that helps founders move faster, understand their business, and access leverage seamlessly.

Meet Paula

The right hand your company runs on.

I am Paula Gil Ortiz, a fractional COO and chief of staff for founders. I work with founders in the United States and the teams who build for them across Latin America — fluent in both worlds and at home in both.

“I work the way a cairn is built. I leave the path marked, so your team can walk it without me.”

Anonymized case studies

Real work. No names.

Out of respect for clients, identities and specifics stay private. The shape of the work and the outcomes are honest.

What founders say after we work together.

Names withheld to protect client confidentiality. Roles and context are real.

Answers

Need help? Common questions.

Get answers quickly so you can decide with confidence.

What does a fractional COO actually do?

I run the operational side of your business part-time: systems, processes, team accountability, project delivery, and culture. The senior operating partner most founders cannot yet justify hiring full-time, at a fraction of the cost.

How do you charge?

A flat monthly retainer tied to a defined scope and outcomes, not an hourly rate. You get a predictable cost, and I stay focused on results instead of the clock.

How much of your time do I get?

As much as the outcomes require, on a flexible schedule. If you need live coverage during specific hours, I can bring in a managed junior so the work is covered without my time being the constraint.

Do you work with remote and Latin American teams?

Yes. I am fully bilingual and built for exactly this: bridging US founders and their teams across Latin America, with no translation gap between the two.

How do we start?

With a discovery of how your operation runs today. From there I bring you a clear plan and a proposal scoped to the few things that will move the most.

Why are testimonials and case studies anonymous?

Most of my work touches sensitive internals — org design, hiring, finances, founder dynamics. Confidentiality is part of the engagement. I share the shape of the work and the outcomes, never names or identifying details.
